Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has categorically dismissed rumours suggesting he has defected to Team New Nigerian (TNN), labeling the allegations as “completely false and malicious.”

In a statement released by his office and signed by his Special Adviser, Godwin Anaughe, Omo-Agege reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Describing the rumors as a tactic employed by blackmailers aiming to tarnish his reputation and stir unnecessary tension in the political landscape, the statement emphasized, “Senator Omo-Agege is not a member, has never been a member, has no intention of becoming a member, and is not even familiar with TNN.”

As the leader of the APC in Delta State, Omo-Agege has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the party’s principles. The statement highlighted his advocacy for progressive governance, good governance, and the overall well-being of Nigerian citizens throughout his political career.

Omo-Agege reiterated his support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to drive Nigeria towards economic growth, security, and improved welfare for all citizens. He pointed out that the agenda prioritizes creating opportunities for economic empowerment, enhancing national infrastructure, ensuring security and stability, and improving access to quality education and healthcare services.
